SCOUTING PRINCETON: The Tigers make the short trip south to Philadelphia aiming for a sixth consecutive victory. There wasn’t much to take from Wednesday night’s victory over a Division III opponent other than coach Mitch Henderson got a chance to rest his heavy-minute players and get others game action. That could prove to bode well down the stretch since Princeton is going to need to rely on freshmen Caden Pierce, Xaivian Lee, Deven Austin and Jack Scott at different times throughout the season. Also of note, junior Zach Martini made his season debut, and don’t be surprised if the 6-foot-7, 235-pounder out of Gill St. Bernard’s has a part to play in the frontcourt as he gets his legs back under him. Four of Princeton’s five starters — Evbuomwan, Ryan Langborg, Matt Allocco and Keeshawn Kellman — are all averaging double figures. SCOUTING DREXEL: The Dragons have split their first eight games and are coming off a victory over Lafayette in which they got a balanced scoring effort from their three best players; Coletrane Washington (18points), Lamar Oden Jr. (17 points) and Amari Williams (16 points). Williams, an Englishman, and a player Evbuomwan knows well from the youth basketball circuit in Britain, averages a teambest 16.4points and 7.9rebounds. Evbuowman scored the key basket in overtime of last season’s game while being guarded by Williams. This will be Princeton’s third of five non-league games against a CAA opponent. The Tigers dropped the opener to Hofstra then beat Northeastern in the championship game of the London Basketball Classic. They still have games to come against Monmouth and Delaware.
