SLO deputies catch Paso Robles shooting suspect after manhunt
After an hourslong manhunt across Paso Robles on Friday, police finally apprehended a man they say shot a hole into a mobile home.
The shooting occurred at Los Robles Mobile Home Estates near Theatre Drive at about 10 a.m., according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
A park resident, Jordan Nogo, 28, of Paso Robles, allegedly fired a shot that traveled through his mobile home and into the home next door, the release said. Deputies recovered a bullet at the scene, and no one was injured.
Deputies responded to the scene and contacted Nogo, who reportedly attempted to conceal a handgun in his clothing and then fled the scene, the release said.
He escaped into a creek bed and then drove away in a black Volkswagen Passat sedan with license plate number 6CKH797, according to the release.
He was considered armed and potentially suicidal, the release said.
Deputies later received a report that Nogo was spotted in the area of Ground Squirrel Hollow Road in rural Paso Ro- bles, according to another Sheriff’s Office news release.
According to that release, deputies found Nogo on Geneseo Road, where he stopped his
car but refused to get out. After prolonged contact with deputies, he got out of the car about 3:50 p.m. and was taken into custody.
A reverse 911 was sent to residents in the area during the standoff, advising them of what was happening. School buses were also rerouted.
Nogo was arrested for parole and weapons violations, according to the release. He is not yet listed in the County Jail’s “Who’s in Custody” database.
Nogo is wanted under a felony warrant for allegedly violating terms of his parole after he failed to attend Drug and Alcohol Services, court records show. Nogo was on postrelease community supervision after serving time in prison for grand theft.
Prior to that, he served short stints in San Luis Obispo County Jail in 2009 and 2011 for being in possession of stolen property and methamphetamine. His adult criminal record began with a DUI in 2008, court records show.
Police were looking for Jordan Nogo, who lived in the home at left. He allegedly shot into his neighbor’s home at right.
