Geral­dine (Gerry) Kenyon 1930-2018

Gerry passed away at age 88 sum­mer of 2018 at her daugh­ters home in Nipomo. Gerry is the last of 8 sib­lings born to Alice and Roy Hickey. She was born Jan­uary 15, 1930 in Mesa Ari­zona, but grew up in the San Joaquin val­ley. She met her hus­band Eu­gene (Gene) at a high school dance in Selma, to this day he still car­ries her Se­nior pic­ture in his wal­let. She mar­ried Gene in June 1949 and cel­e­brated their 69th an­niver­sary this last June. In 1964 she moved to Shell Beach. She raised her chil­dren Glenn and Lori in the shell beach and Five cities area. Her and Gene were ac­tive in bowl­ing leagues in Pismo Beach for many years. When her hus­band re­tired they built a home in Kings Canyon, then re­turned to Nipomo in 1997. In 2009 she moved to Texas where her and Gene lived on a lake. She then moved back home to Cal­i­for­nia the first of 2017. She was pre­ceded in death by her son Glenn Kenyon, and is sur­vived by her hus­band Gene Kenyon, daugh­ter Lori Iver­son, son-in-law Ben Iver­son, grand­sons Ben Iver­son, Nick & Tori Iver­son, grand­daugh­ter Candy Iver­son, great grand­sons Sage, Zachary and Keelin Iver­son. On Fe­bru­ary 2, 2019 there will be a cel­e­bra­tion of life for Gerry Kenyon and her son Glenn Kenyon at the Spy­glass Inn in Shell Beach. In lieu of flow­ers memo­ri­als can be made to dig­nity hospice.
