Mueller report to be public within week, Barr says

The Tribune (SLO) - - Insight -

Appearing before Congress to discuss the Justice Department budget, Attorney General William P. Barr said Tuesday he will deliver a redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report to the lawmakers and the public within a week, reiterating his promise to release it by mid-April.

Barr tried to keep the conversation focused on the department’s proposed $29.2 billion budget, which includes money for 100 new immigration judges. But pressed by Democrats about his handling of the Mueller report, Barr reiterated his vow to be as transparent as possible about redactions.
