The Sage­brush Days Com­mit­tee sends a great big “thank you” to all who con­trib­uted to and par­tic­i­pated in mak­ing the event a big suc­cess this year! It was great fun.

Here’s a look at the pa­rade win­ners: Best Float, 1947 Ford Woody “San Miguel or Bust”; Best Sin­gle Ve­hi­cle, 1949 Chevy Truck; Best Ve­hi­cle Group, Camp Roberts Mu­seum; Best Walk­ing Group, Na­tive Sons and Daugh­ters of the Golden West “Big Cal­i­for­nia Pa­rade Flag”; Best Mounted Group, Va­que­ros de la Re­gion. Spe­cial Recog­ni­tion went to the 1950s Willys Pickup.

AD­VI­SORY COUN­CIL NEEDS VOL­UN­TEERS

The San Miguel Ad­vi­sory Coun­cil is seek­ing nom­i­na­tions to the com­mit­tee.

The coun­cil is ad­vi­sory to the County Board of Su­per­vi­sors and the Plan­ning De­part­ment for the San Miguel area. Meet­ings are held on the fourth Wed­nes­day of each month at 7 p.m. at the Com­mu­nity Build­ing in the park be­hind the Li­brary.

If you are in­ter­ested, please at­tend this month’s meet­ing (see Cal­en­dar) and fill out the pa­pers. If there are candidates, elec­tions will be held at the June meet­ing.
