POLICE REPORTS The following were Compiled from reports prepared By the Ukiah Police Department. To Anonymousl­y report Crime informatio­n, Call 463-6205. PERSON LOOKING IN WINDOWS: Caller in the 1100 block of Airport Park Boulevard reported at 1:12 a.m. July 2 that a person who was behaving suspicious­ly was looking into windows. An officer responded but reported the person was gone. At 1:28 a.m., in the same block, the officer arrested a 32-yearold Eureka man for an out-of county warrant and booked him into Mendocino County Jail.

INJURED DEER: Caller in the 600 block of North State Street reported at 3:49 a.m. July 2 that a deer in the area had been injured. An officer responded and took a report after the animal was “dispatched.” CAMPER IN DRIVE-THRU: Caller at Starbucks on Airport Park Boulevard reported at 5:12 a.m. July 2 that someone was camping in the drive-thru. An officer responded and reported that the person left as he was arriving.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Caller in the 300 block of South State Street reported at 8 a.m. July 2 that a vehicle had been stolen. An officer took a report.

LARGE ENCAMPMENT UNDER BRIDGE: Caller in the 700 block of North Bush Street reported at 11:05 a.m. July 2 that a large encampment was underneath a bridge nearby. An officer responded and advised the group of city code violations before they left upon request. BARKING DOG: Caller in the 400 block of Clara Avenue reported at 11:25 a.m. July 2 having an ongoing issue with a barking dog. An officer responded and reported that the owners agreed to “keep the dog inside more often.” HATCHET FOUND NEAR SHERIFF’S OFFICE: Caller in the 900 block of Low Gap Road reported at 5:51 p.m. July 2 finding a hatchet near the speed bump near the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. An officer responded but did not find the hatchet. DRUG PARAPHERNA­LIA: An officer performing security checks in the 200 block of Leslie Street at 3:41 a.m. July 3 arrested a 38-yearold Tennessee man on suspicion of possession of drug parapherna­lia and violating his probation. He was booked into county jail and also charged with smuggling contraband into the jail.

INJURED ANIMAL: An officer responded to the 400 block of West Henry Street at 8:05 p.m. July 3 for an undisclose­d animal call and took a report of the animal being dispatched. SHOPLIFTER: Caller at a convenienc­e store at the corner of South State Street and Talmage Road reported at 8:29 p.m. July 3 that a frequent shoplifter had stolen more beer. An officer responded and arrested a 44-year-old Ukiah man on suspicion of petty theft and violating his probation. He was booked into county jail.

LOUD GROUP: Caller in the 700 block of Live Oak Avenue reported at 9:47 p.m. July 3 hearing a loud group of people. An officer responded and reported that the group was singing “Happy Birthday” and was aware of the 10 p.m. noise ordinance.

DROPPED FIREWOOD: Caller in the 500 block of South Mcpherson reported at 5:09 p.m. July 2 that a woman dropped firewood onto the sidewalk. An officer responded and removed the firewood.
