ANOTHER CODID-19 DEATH REPORTED: The Mendocino County Public Health Office reported Thursday that another county resident has died as a result of the Covid-19 virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 25. Also Thursday, the county reported 26 new cases for a total of 2,134. The daily average of positive cases was 32.4, and the testing positivity rate is now above 5 percent. Thirteen patients with the virus were hospitalized on Thursday, three of which were in the Intensive Care Unit.

SHOTS FIRED: An officer responded to the 700 block of Village Circle at 4:43 a.m. Dec. 11 for a report of shots fired and took a report of criminal threats, conspiracy and vandalism.
BARKING DOG: Caller in the 300 block of North Main Street reported at 8:22 a.m. Dec. 11 that a dog had been barking “at all hours” and was out in the cold. An officer responded and advised the owner.
DOG HIT BY CAR: Caller in the 300 block of North Main Street reported at 9:04 a.m. Dec. 11 finding a deceased dog that possibly had been hit by a car overnight.
FIRE: Caller at the Building Bridges homeless shelter on South State Street reported at 9:25 a.m. Dec. 11 that people had a fire near the building. Officer response unknown.
FIGHT: An officer responded to the 300 block of Plum Drive at 12:43 p.m. for a report of a fight and arrested Jose R. Duran Lopez IV, 24, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence and violating his probation. He was booked into Mendocino
County Jail.
SHOTS FIRED: A caller at the corner of South State Street and Washington Avenue reported at 4:42 a.m. Dec. 12 hearing shots fired. An officer checked the area but did not find anything of concern.
STABBING AT SHELTER: An officer responded to the Building Bridges homeless shelter on South State Street at 9:23 a.m. Dec. 12 for a report of one client stabbing another client and arrested Ronda C. Lamb, 51, of Georgia/ukiah, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked into county jail.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty.
