Music Gear Swap set for Saturday

- By Katarzyna Rolzinski

The Redwood Valley Grange is sponsoring its second Music Gear Swap fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Grange parking lot, 8650 East Road, Redwood Valley, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Everyone is welcome with free admission to buyers, and sellers may rent stalls with provided tables for $25 in advance or $35 at the gate. There will be limited space, so sellers are urged to reserve as soon as possible by calling 4679343.

With musicians located across Mendocino County’s large rural area, it can be challenging for them to find or to sell particular pieces of music equipment. This Gear Swap provides an outlet for our broad-based music community to come together in one location to buy, sell or trade musical gear. Everything from home stereo components to costly custom guitars, amps, accessories, and more were represented at last year’s music gear swap.

In addition to swappers getting good deals or cash, the Grange raised enough funds to purchase needed sound drapes for Grange events. Funds from this year’s event will hopefully provide the hardware to add to the sound proofing project. This year with the pandemic, the outdoor event will be carefully produced by the Redwood Valley Grange to maintain safety for all who attend to be properly masked and distanced.
