Mendocino County Public Health officials announced Wednesday that at least one employee at another Ukiah business has tested positive for Covid-19.

According to a Sept. 1 press release from the Mendocino County Covid-19 Department Operations Center, an employee at Maurices, a clothing store located at 548 E. Perkins St. in Ukiah, recently tested positive for Covid-19.

“Members of the public who visited this facility between the dates of (Wednesday) Aug. 25 and (Saturday) Aug. 28, 2021, may have been exposed to Covid-19, and are advised to seek Covid-19 testing if unvaccinated, or seek testing if exhibiting symptoms while vaccinated,” the press release states.

The press release had originally identified the dates as “Saturday, Aug. 25 and Tuesday, Aug. 28,” but a county employee confirmed that while the dates were correct, the days of the week were initially reported incorrectly. There was no statement provided from Maurices.

On Tuesday, public health officials reported that a positive case had been identified at Perfect Union, a cannabis dispensary located at 2601 N State St. in Ukiah, and that anyone “who visited this facility between the dates of Aug. 17 and Aug. 29” may have been exposed to the virus.

Last week, health officials reported that a positive case had also been identified at the Home Depot in Ukiah, located at 350 N. Orchard Ave, and that anyone who visited the business “between Aug. 17 and Aug. 20” may have been exposed to the virus.

Public Health Officer Dr. Andy Coren is again quoted as “emphasizing the importance of staying home from work when exhibiting any symptoms of Covid-19. Common symptoms are fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Other symptoms may include chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, fatigue, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or new loss of taste or smell.”
