UKIAH VALLEY FIRE AUTHORITY DUMPSTER FIRE: UVFA crews and the Ukiah Police Department responded to Riverside Park around 7:48 p.m. Nov. 28 when a caller reported that a man was lighting a fire in the Dumpsters.
FIRE: UVFA crews were dispatched to the parking lot between Kohl’s and J.C. Penney on North Orchard Avenue at 6:09 a.m. Saturday for a report of a debris fire.
FIRE: UVFA crews were dispatched to Ukiah Natural Foods on South State Street at 5:08a.m. Sunday for a report of a transient fire.
UNRESPONSIVE MAN: UVFA crews were dispatched to the Mendocino County Jail at 4:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of an unresponsive man.
OVERDOSE: UVFA crews were dispatched to the intersection of South State and Talmage Road at 8:48 p.m. Monday for a report of a female having an overdose.
UNRESPONSIVE AT INN-OUT: UVFA crews were dispatched to In-n-out Burger on North State Street at 11:40 p.m. Monday for an “unresponsive adult” inside a vehicle.
OVERDOSE: UVFA crews were dispatched to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley at 5:52 a.m. Tuesday for a report of an overdose near Hamilton Street.
POLICE REPORTS The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 463-6205.
DUI: An officer responded to the 700 block of East Perkins Street at 4:44 p.m. Nov. 16 for a report of someone hitting vehicles on Oak Manor Drive with their vehicle and arrested Eric Owen, 50, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer responded to the 800 block of South Oak Street at 1:48 a.m. Nov. 19 for a report of a fight and arrested Ivan Gonzalez-rivera, 31, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence. He was booked into county jail.
REVVING ENGINE: Caller in the 200 block of Ford Street reported at 11:46 a.m. Nov. 22 having a problem with someone revving their engine in the “early morning hours.” They were advised to call back when the issue was occurring.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer responded to the 900 block of North State Street at 7:20 a.m. Nov. 23 for a report of a fight and arrested James P. Smith, 27, of Mississippi, on suspicion of domestic violence. He was booked into county jail.
DEATH: An officer responded to the 100 block of Court Street at 5:31 p.m. Nov. 23 and took a report of a death.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty.
