POLICE REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205. DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of Oak Manor Drive at 12:12 a.m. April 25and arrested Jasmin Barajas-monroy, 18, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was booked at Mendocino County Jail.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Caller in the 700 block of Waugh Lane reported at 6:18a.m. April 25 that a vehicle had been stolen overnight. An officer took a report.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Caller in the 600 block of Talmage Road reported at 12:43p.m. April 25 that a vehicle had been stolen. An officer responded, the vehicle was located and Aaron Oresco, 36, of Ukiah, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and drug parapherna­lia, and violating his probation. He was booked into county jail.

RAPE: An officer responded to Ukiah High School at 1:05 p.m. April 25 and took a report of rape. No further details were provided.

FIRE: Caller in the 600block of North Orchard Avenue reported at 10:43p.m. April 26 that two people were trying to light grass on fire with a lighter. An officer responded and checked the area but the suspects were gone.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle at the corner of Barbara and Mae streets at 2:34 a.m. April 27 and arrested Angela Van Patten, 23, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was cited and released.

DUI: An officer responded to a report of a collision in the 900block of North State Street at 3:36 p.m. April 28 and arrested Maricarmen Fernandez, no age given, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence. The driver was cited and released.

FIRE: Caller at the Ukiah Skate Park reported at 11:27 a.m. April 29 that “several juveniles started a fire at the encampment behind the park.” An officer responded and the Ukiah Valley Fire Authority was contacted. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:

An officer responded to the 700block of Sidnie Court at 2:59 p.m. April 29 and arrested Alexander Barger, 18, of Ukiah, on suspicion domestic violence. He was booked into county jail. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:

An officer responded to the 800 block of Yosemite Drive at 10:05 p.m. April 29and arrested Fernando Martinez-ortiz, 29, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence. He was booked into county jail.

ASSAULT: An officer responded to the 900 block of South State Street at 3:57 p.m. April 30for a report of a man being stabbed in the head and arrested Caleb Devinegome­s, 21, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and battery on first-responder. He was booked into county jail. Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant — all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
