Advanced Energy Center in Santa Rosa reopens
The Advanced Energy Center in Santa Rosa has reopened to drop-in visitors, tours, and events after being closed due to statewide COVID-19 restrictions.
Located at 741 4th St. in downtown Santa Rosa, the center showcases energy efficient products and next-generation technologies for the home, including all-electric heating and cooling systems, heat pump water heaters, induction cooktops and more. In the Advanced Energy Center's classroom, events and trainings are held for both community members and professional contractors.
“For anyone who wants safer energy-efficient products for the home that also save money, this is the place for you.” said center Director Chad Asay.
Built by Sonoma Clean Power with a $9.8 million grant from the California Energy Commission, the 9,000-square-foot center invites guests to learn how they can reduce their carbon emissions through allelectric technologies and turn the tide on climate change.
Products showcased in the center qualify for manufacturers' discounts and additional incentives through Sonoma Clean Power. Customers may qualify for products such as a new electric heat pump water heater at no cost to them. Financing of up to $10,000 at 0% interest is also available on the purchase of technologies that qualify.
The Advanced Energy Center is available for events, meetings, mixers or trainings.
