POLICE REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 707-463-6205.

TENT IN PARKING LOT:

Caller in the 1200 block of Airport Park Boulevard reported at 9:26a.m. Feb. 10 that people were in a tent in the middle of a parking lot. An officer responded and reported finding no tent.

CAMPING CITATION:

An officer contacted a “suspicious person” in the 300block of East Perkins Street at 9:53 a.m. Feb. 10 and cited a woman for violating city camping codes. DUI: An officer approached a “suspicious vehicle” in the 100block of Seminary Avenue at 2:04 a.m. Feb. 11and arrested Damian Villegas, 30, of Willits, on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was cited and released.

CAMPING CITATIONS: An officer responded to the 300 block of South School Street at 6:20 a.m. Feb. 11 and cited two men for violating city camping codes.

CAMPERS IN COURTYARD:

Caller in the 500 block of South Orchard Avenue reported at 7:18 a.m. Feb. 11 that people were setting up camp in a courtyard, and requested extra patrols for people camping.

CAMPING CITATION:

An officer contacted four people loitering in the 100 block of Talmage Road at 8:12 a.m. Feb. 11 and cited and released a Point Arena woman for violating city camping codes. RECKLESS MOTORCYCLE: Caller near Todd Grove Park reported at 1:19 p.m. Feb. 11that a motorcycle was being driven recklessly in the area. PARTY: Caller in the 1000 block of West Perkins Street reported at 10:09 p.m. Feb. 11 that there was a “juvenile party in the area, with a large amount of cars and kids walking with beer.” At 11:59 p.m., a different officer responded to the party and reported that “all the juveniles were given rides home.”

CAMPING CITATIONS:

An officer responded to the 300 block of South State Street at 8:48 a.m. Feb. 13 and cited a 46-year-old Ukiah man and 29-year-old Ukiah man for violating city camping codes. At 1:27 p.m., the same officer contacted the same men in the 100 block of South Main Street, cited them again for violating the same camping codes, and booked them into Mendocino County Jail.

CAMPING CITATION:

An officer performing security checks at 1:40 a.m. Feb. 17 in Orr Creek at the Orchard Bridge cited a 44-year-old Ukiah woman for violating city camping codes.

PASSED OUT IN VEHICLE:

Caller on Porzio Lane reported at 10:17a.m. Feb. 17 that a person was passed out in a vehicle. An officer responded and arrested a Talmage man for possession of drug parapherna­lia. He was cited and released.

911 HANGUP:

A 911call was placed and dropped at 8:40 p.m. Feb. 17 in the 1000block of South Street. An officer responded to the area and found nothing of concern.

CAMPING CITATION:

Caller in the 1100 block of Airport Park Boulevard reported at 11:11p.m. Feb. 17 that someone was setting up camp behind a Dumpster. An officer responded and arrested a 39-year-old Eureka woman for violating city camping codes. Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
