SHERIFF'S REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office:
ELDER ABUSE: Jeffrey S. Allen Vermillion, 34, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 1 on suspicion of abuse of an elder/dependent adult that resulted in “great bodily harm or death.” He was arrested by the MCSO.
SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH A CHILD: Jim H. Harper, 35, of North Carolina, was booked at county jail Feb. 1 on suspicion of “substantial sexual conduct with a child under 14 years of age,” lewd or lascivious acts with a child, and of threatening/dissuading a witness. He was arrested by the MCSO.
DUI: Jayson K. Johnson, 33, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 1on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs. He was arrested by the California Highway Patrol.
DUI: Jonathan J. Sangster, 27, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 1on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Jotham D. Ford, 35, of Willits, was booked at county jail Feb. 2on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and of hit and run He was arrested by the Willits Police Department.
BURGLARY: Jordan M. Guthart, 32, of Mckinleyville, was booked at county jail Feb. 2 on suspicion of burglary, grand theft, evading and of possessing an assault weapon and a controlled substance. He was arrested by the California State Parks Department.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Teresa Manzo, 50, of Redwood Valley, was booked at county jail Feb. 2on suspicion of domestic violence. She was arrested by the MCSO.
DUI: Annika R. Nielson, 24, of Arizona, was booked at county jail Feb. 2on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Francisco Pina, 22, of Sacramento, was booked at county jail Feb. 2 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Jimmy R. Sausedo, 47, of Covelo, was booked at county jail Feb. 2on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Christian G. Gutierrez Garcia, 30, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, and of driving with a license that had been suspended or revoked for DUI. He was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.
DUI: Stephen G. Lowry, 67, of Covelo, was booked at county jail Feb. 4on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the MCSO.
DUI: Jason M. Mcessy Jr., 30, of San Jose, was booked at county jail Feb. 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Jaime L. Sigman, 36, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail Feb. 4on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested by the UPD.
DRUG SALES: Kailand I. Garcia, 18, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail Feb. 5 on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale and of destroying/concealing evidence. He was arrested by the Mendocino Major Crimes Task Force.
DUI: Juan E. Vincente Cabrera, 37, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 5 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
DRUG SALES: David D. Cope, 53, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail Feb. 6 on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale and of failure to appear. He was arrested by the MCSO.
BURGLARY: Katrina N. Fowles, 32, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 6on suspicion of burglary, child cruelty, attempting to dissuade a witness and contempt of court. She was arrested by the MCSO.
BURGLARY: Leslie E. Troup, 44, of Fresno County, was booked at county jail Feb. 6on suspicion of burglary, vehicle theft, false imprisonment, threats evading and possession of a controlled substance, he was arrested by the Fort Bragg Police Department.
• Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper.
