SHERIFF'S REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office: BATTERY ON A PEACE
OFFICER: John Hill, 36, of Laytonville, was booked at county jail Feb. 13on suspicion of battery on a peace officer and of violating his parole. He was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.
THREATS: Scotty L. Willis, 40, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 13on suspicion of threatening to commit a crime that would result in death or great bodily injury. He was arrested by the UPD.
BATTERY: Charles A. Foster, 54, of Willits, was booked at county jail Feb. 14on suspicion of battery with serious injury and of violating a protective order and his probation. He was arrested by the MCSO.
DUI: Jorge A. Montiel Avalos, 31, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 14 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and of possessing a controlled substance. He was arrested by the California Highway Patrol.
• Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
