Janelle Park, MD, joins staff at the Diana J. White Cancer Institute

Board-certified Radiation Oncologist Janelle Park, MD, is the newest edition to the Diana J. White Cancer Institute in Sonora.

Park has more than 15 years of clinical experience and has cared for more than 4,000 patients so far in her career, according to an Adventist Health Sonora press release.

Park has a patientcen­tered approach and expertise in using state-ofthe-art technology to treat many types of cancer including breast, gastrointe­stinal, head and neck, lung, and prostate cancers. She works with each patient to develop specific care plans, utilizing some of the most advanced cancer treatments available today, the release stated.

“I am blessed to have found a specialty that is so rewarding,” Park said about her life-long goal of becoming a physician. “Radiation Oncology is such an amazing field, combining advanced, cutting-edge technology with true compassion and care.”

Park is certified by the American Board of Radiology and completed her residency training in Radiation Oncology at LAC + University of Southern California. She earned her medical degree from The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Ohio State University College of Medicine and undergradu­ate degree in Biology from Columbia University in New York, New York.
