TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

11:42 a.m., vandalism — A North Washington Street property was vandalized.

2:06 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man said he was approached by four men who asked him where he got the generator that was in the bed of his pickup truck at a business on Stockton Road. The men blocked him from leaving, indicating that they thought it was their stolen generator in the truck.

2:12 p.m., theft — A store owner detained a man with short blondish hair, pinched face, blue bandana, Raiders hat, blue jeans, sores on his arms and a Raiders shirt for shopliftin­g and the man was arrested on South Washington Street.

2:24 p.m., hazardous situation — A man with a bandana over his face pushed a cart in the middle of the roadway and blocked traffic on Sanguinett­i Road.

3:26 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone said a woman in a long skirt and dark top threw items at vehicles driving westbound on Stockton Road. The woman told the officer she was feeding animals, and the officer did not see any hazards in the roadway.

6:11 p.m., trespass/loiter — Someone said there was an ongoing problem with a man who slept by propane tanks and dumpsters behind a business on Mono Way. An officer determined that the campsite and bicycle were abandoned and the bicycle, valued at less than $50, was booked for destructio­n.

6:19 a.m., warrant arrest — A man in a burgundy hoodie in a red vehicle was smoking drugs and urinating in public on Woods Creek Drive. The man was arrested.

7:58 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man said a bald man with a goatee in a silver Mustang followed him around the block four times. An officer contacted the man, who was from out of state, at a Stockton Road business, and the man said he was “driving around aimlessly and not following anyone.”

erty damage — Someone said a door at a vacant residence on West Bradford Avenue was kicked in, windows were broken and there was evidence of squatters staying inside.

9:31 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A woman complained about noise from a generator on East Bald Mountain Road. An officer explained to her that it was not unreasonab­le due to the current power outage for the neighbor to use their generator.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:23 a.m., Sonora — Someone said the ignition was drilled out on a vehicle that was burglarize­d on Grouse Way.

8:19 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said she saw someone carrying a brand new Lincoln welder headed toward her camp on Highway 108.

9:12 a.m., Sonora — A man said that a U.S. Forest Service vehicle hit his vehicle then left on Mono Way.

12:13 p.m., Sonora — Someone said a car was parked in front of his property on Mono Way yesterday for three to four hours and the man set up a sign that said his vehicle, a gray Honda SUV with no front plate, overheated. The man was there again the next day and came out of the bushes and told them he was a bird watcher.

12:16 p.m., Jamestown — A Calamity Jane Drive resident said a neighbor threatened their mother.

12:54 p.m., Jamestown — A drone circled a school yard while children were being dismissed on Fifth Avenue.

1:21 p.m., Tuolumne — A Miramonte Road resident lost control of a burn pile.

3:06 p.m., Sonora — Locks and a latch were damaged on a truck parked on East Walnut.

4:38 p.m., Sonora — A mailbox was vandalized on Soulsbyvil­le Road.

6:16 p.m., Columbia — A woman was loud and took off her clothes near a gate to a schoolhous­e on School House Road.

7:19 p.m., Columbia — A neighbor alerted someone that another neighbor “busted out the front window of their residence with a crowbar” on Four Wheel Drive.

7:48 p.m., Columbia — A woman said her neighbor, who lived up the road on State Street, took photos of her house. The man said he had issues with cats and thought she was responsibl­e.

8:58 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone said burn piles on Tuolumne Road North and Maranatha Road were “waaaay too big.” The call was transferre­d to Calfire.

11:47 p.m., Jamestown — Someone saw flashlight­s and heard a woman scream, “My name is … please help me,” on Seventh Street.

12:44 a.m., West Point — A suspicious person was cited on Highway 26.

4:39 a.m., Railroad Flat — A suspicious person in a parked vehicle was cited on Summit Level Road.

6:41 a.m, San Andreas — A burglary occurred on West Saint Charles Street.

8:43 a.m., Avery — Vandalism occurred on Avery Sheep Ranch Road.

8:56 a.m., West Point — A trespass occurred on Skull Flat Road.

12:34 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Fraud occurred on Whiskey Slide road.

3:28 p.m., Burson — An assault occurred on Lake View Road.

6:25 p.m., West Point — A battery occurred on West Point Pioneer Road.

7:33 p.m., Vallecito — Vandalism occurred on Parrotts Ferry road at the Natural Bridges Parking area.

8:25 a.m., Copperopol­is — Nicholas Robert Tuana, 43, of the 3000 block of Beaver Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant after an arrest at his home.

11:26 p.m., Valley Springs — Gabriel Anthony Fernandez, 44, of the 100 block of Vecino Avenue, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing great bodily injury, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol of 0.08 causing bodily injury, and misdemeano­r charges of willful cruelty to a child and battery on a spouse ex-spouse/date/etc., after an arrest on Highway 12 at Burson Road.
