The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

10:59 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man slept near the stairwell on the second level of the parking garage on North Washington Street.

12:33 p.m., theft — An officer received a report of a theft by a former employee at a business on South Washington Street.

12:45 p.m. suspicious circumstan­ces — A man in camouflage clothing with an unlit cigarette in his mouth acted strangely in a business, then rummaged through a black Jeep on South Stewart Street. An officer advised him not to drive his Jeep because of expired registrati­on.

1:36 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man said another man in a gray shirt and shorts came to his door and said he was from PG&E and the state of California and tried to sell him solar panels. When the salesman asked for his Social Security number and date of birth, he showed him his private investigat­or business card and the salesman threw it back at him and walked away on Tidwall Street. An officer located the man who said he was signing people up for solar power. The officer advised him of the municipal code for operating in the city limits.

4:02 p.m., unclassifi­ed — A woman said a large tree branch fell while she was at Coffill Park with her grandchild­ren and a branch hit her leg. She declined medical attention, and public works was called to place a barricade around the tree.

5:56 p.m., theft — A man in all black clothing and black sunglasses concealed merchandis­e at a business on Sanguinett­i Road.

10:04 p.m., trespass/loiter — A blonde woman in a teal shirt and sweatpants was confrontat­ional and refused to leave a business on Greenley Road. The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:32 a.m., Jamestown — A man punched a woman in the arm while she drove a tan van with a dent in the side and the vehicle swerved at Golf Links Road and Highway 108.

10:34 a.m., Sonora — A woman in a black shirt, blue jeans and carrying a backpack walked back and forth in traffic on Highway 108 near Old Wards Ferry Road.

10:52 a.m., Big Oak Flat — Items were stolen from a church on Wards Ferry Road.

1:28 p.m., Sonora — A man said someone swung a shovel and hit his hands at a business on Stockton Road.

1:45 p.m., Sonora — A fire occurred in a backyard on Old Wards Ferry Road.

2:18 p.m., Jamestown — Someone found a knife in the toilet at Rocca Park on Main Street.

2:27 p.m., Sonora — A man dressed in black lay in a parking lot and yelled at a business on Mono Way.

3:22 p.m., Long Barn — A man in a T-shirt and jeans held a milk jug and staggered on Highway 108 near Snowwhite Ridge.

5:21 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Someone said two people wearing all red clothing parked a white Ford Excursion with black rims near a vacant residence and were also seen speeding through the neighborho­od on Kings Court.

5:42 p.m. Sonora — A Sullivan Creek Road woman saw a naked man yelling by the creek in her backyard.

THURSDAY

5:05 p.m., Long Barn — Brandon James Ellwanger, 41, of the 25000 block of Long Barn Road, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 east of Long Barn.

2:00 p.m., Jamestown — Gina Marie Gambino, 28, address unknown, was booked after an arrest at a gas station on Highway 108.

Cicilia Michelle Reyes Seitz, 38, of the 14000 block of Park Avenue, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse cohabitant after an arrest at her home.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

1:12 p.m., Valley Springs — A business was broken into on Freedom Way.
