The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

6:43 a.m., theft — A catalytic converter was taken off a delivery truck at an Old Wards Ferry Road business.

9:24 a.m., public intoxicati­on — An “extremely” intoxicate­d man brought to the hospital for treatment by his grandmothe­r ripped an IV out of his arm and left a Greenley Road medical facility. The man was found by an officer and booked on suspicion of public intoxicati­on.

10:01 a.m., controlled substances — An older woman wearing constructi­on-orange coveralls and a yellow rain slicker walked in and out of a South Washington Street store cussing and asking customers for money. The woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

12:19 p.m., traffic violations — An off-duty officer was nearly struck by a man driving a vehicle with an open container into the lot of a Parrotts Ferry Road convenienc­e store. The officer confronted the man after he came out of the store with more alcohol. The man said he hadn’t yet started drinking and drove away. A be-on-the-lookout was issued.

4:29 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A high school student was picked up by a man driving a gray Toyota Corolla when the student got off a school bus. The man drove the student home, and the student’s parent said the man is a stranger and now knows where they live.

5:52 p.m., public intoxicati­on — A person came to the police department to report an intoxicate­d man outside of a house adjacent to the department. The man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

6:55 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — The doors of a van parked in front of a Stockton Road barber shop were open and items were scattered on the sidewalk. An officer secured the van and left a card for the owner.

7:14 p.m., controlled substances — A man who someone thought was smoking drugs out of a pipe in the outside area of a South Stewart Street eatery was smoking tobacco.

8:04 a.m., Twain Harte — Something was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Leisure Drive.

10:20 a.m., Jamestown — A gravel spill affected traffic on O’byrnes Ferry Road.

10:52 a.m., Sonora — A Gibbs Drive resident said a man with a backpack “prowled” around the residence on Sunday.

10:58 a.m., Jamestown — An arrest was made after a report of suspicious circumstan­ces at Rocca Park on Main Street.

12:14 p.m., Sonora — A window was vandalized on a vehicle parked on Chukar Circle.

1:34 p.m., Groveland — Something was stolen from a Hillcroft Drive property.

1:35 p.m., Jamestown — A “hot spot” was starting to smoke in the area of Golden Dove Lane and Silver Pine Drive.

1:56 p.m., Sonora area — A Blue Bell West man said his wife returned home with their car or dog.

3:09 p.m., Sonora area — A motorist said a man on Highway 108 near Argyle Road looked like he was going to jump into traffic.

5:25 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le area — An Allison Way man said he was assaulted.

5:36 p.m., Jamestown — A North Drive property was vandalized.

11:09 p.m., Jamestown — Someone brandished a weapon on Seco Street.

9:04 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A theft occurred on West Center Street.

9:24 a.m., Murphys — A citation was issued after a disturbanc­e on Sandalwood Drive.

5:26 p.m., Valley Springs — A Cox Drive property was vandalized.

5:59 p.m., Copperopol­is — Something was stolen from a Spangler Lane property.

7 p.m., Valley Springs — Mark Brandt, 58, of the 26000 block of North Fork Road, was booked after an arrest on Highway 12 near Double Springs Road.

2 p.m., San Andreas — Allen Matthew Linneman, 19, of the 300 block of Nielson Street, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and a misdemeano­r warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeano­r charge after an arrest at his home.
