Ronald Lynn Adams

1947 — 2021

Ronald Lynn Adams, 74, passed on Oct. 23, 2021. He was born to Lindal Adams and Victoria Adams in Turlock on May 7, 1947.

He married Linda Banning-adams in 2002, and they lived together in San Andreas.

Ronald is survived by his two children, Chris Adams (Maria Adams) and Megan Hard (Devin Hard), and his two siblings, Dennis Adams and Beverly Adams. He is also survived by three grandchild­ren, Derek Rich, Noah Adams and Jakob Adams.

Ronald graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1962.

Ronald worked at Angels Camp Police Department until he retired in 1989 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. He also volunteere­d at the VFW in San Andreas.

Ronald was a second class petty officer in the Navy, and he served his country for four years as a Boatswain’s Mate on the USS Bulloch LST 509.

A celebratio­n of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at the VFW in San Andreas. The family would love to have any who wish to celebrate Ronald. The address for the VFW in San Andreas is 156 West St. Charles St.

Eric ‘Rick’ Hanson

1944 — 2021

Eric “Rick” Hanson passed away on Sept. 25, 2021. He was 77.

Rick was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He and his young family moved to Sonora in the early ’70s. He opened Rick’s Cobbler Shop, which remained open for nearly 50 years, serving the county with quality workmanshi­p. He enjoyed his craft, meeting and visiting with people.

You were sure to hear a story or two. He retired in September 2020.

Mr. Hanson was a family man. He, with his wife, Merilyn, raised two children, Jeff and Katy. He was very proud of them and their families. Rick also enjoyed spending time with his grandchild­ren.

Additional­ly, Rick enjoyed studying maps and local history. For recreation, he built rock walls and paths, which he took great pride in. He loved Tuolumne County.

Rick is survived by his children, Jeffrey Hanson, and daughter-in-law, Julia, of Twain Harte, and Katy Baker, and son-inlaw, Todd, of Escondido; grandchild­ren Kaitlyn Hanson, of Tuolumne, Colton Hanson (Colleen), of Sparks, Nevada, Kyla and TJ Baker, of Escondido; step-grandsons Curtis Schoon, of Sonora, Jason Ross, of Arnold, and Justin Ross, of Twain Harte; brother, Dave Hanson, of Grass Valley, and sister, Tena (Karl) Bueltmann, of Gridley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Bowler Hanson (2020).

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at Twain Harte Bible Church, 18995 Twain

Harte Drive in Twain Harte.

WANO — Cindy Marie Wano, 66, of Tuolumne, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Adventist Health Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangemen­ts.
