The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:24 a.m., weapons violations — Gunshots were heard near the railroad tracks on Hospital Road.

12:08 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A woman sat on a windowsill and stared at staff inside a business on South Washington Street.

12:13 p.m., theft — A firearm was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in front of a bank on Mono Way.

12:15 p.m., unclassifi­ed — A woman said she heard a “buzzing noise” and it was determined that the noise came from an old building at Williams and South Stewart streets.

3:57 p.m., theft — A store employee said a woman in an olive green winter coat and baggy blue jeans underrang merchandis­e at a Sanguinett­i Road business.the woman was cited and released.

6:55 p.m., theft — A woman attempted to push a cart out of a business on Sanguinett­i Road with over $1,000 worth of merchandis­e in it, and she left a work uniform with her first name on it in the cart.

FRIDAY 11:08 A.M., Sonora —

A report was taken for a vehicle that was vandalized on Phoenix Lake Road.

11:35 a.m., Sonora — A report was taken for a theft on Raccoon Road.

1:05 p.m., Sonora — Multiple calls occurred for a vehicle fire that occurred at New Melones Reservoir at the Stevenot Bridge.

4:41 p.m., Chinese Camp — Gunshots were heard in the area of Maiden Lane and Red Hills Road.

SATURDAY

9:16 a.m., Groveland — Animal control was dispatched for a dead animal under a woman’s house on Prospect Heights.

10:03 a.m., Sonora — An employee at a business on Mono Way said someone passed a counterfei­t $20 bill.

1:21 p.m., Columbia — A man said he was threatened at Big Hill and Borden roads.

1:51 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman at Tanglewood Trail and Mt. Provo Road said she heard shooting above her house.

6:13 p.m., Sonora — Someone on Campo Seco Road said their neighbor’s pit bull killed their chicken and harmed their pigs and they were concerned for the safety of their children.

8:34 p.m., Sonora — Someone complained of noise from a fight at Racetrack Road and Bay Meadow Drive.

10:39 p.m., Sonora — A report was taken for abuse on Peaceful valley Road.

SUNDAY

8:01 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone tried to pass a fraudulent check at a business on Tuolumne Road North.

10:20 a,n,m Sonora — Someone said they found a box of bones on a walking trail down about 200-300 feet from the pull out area on the right side of the road near the Stevenot Bridge and Highway 49.

11:52 a.m., Jamestown — Someone said a man in a lifted bright yellow Chevy truck used a slim jim on a black Honda at a business on Highway 108, and they were concerned he was “up to no good.”

11:57 a.m., Jamestown — Someone said a man was “passed out” in an old skeeter boat with a rifle across his lap and the boat was adrift near Jacksonvil­le Road and Highway 49.

12:02 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said someone trespassed on his property on Old Buchanan Mine Road.

1:08 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said a man who wore camouflage clothing and carried a rifle “flipped her off” as he walked along the road near Table Mountain. She was ad vised that it was the last day of hunting season.

2 p.m., Columbia — A report was taken for a missing adult on State Street.

2:24 p.m., Sonora — A woman said people repeatedly trespass on her property on Mount Elizabeth Drive.

2:43 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone was drunk in public at a business on Tuolumne Road North.

3:54 p.m., Jamestown — Someone on a 911 call said, “Get here now!” and crying was heard on Golden Dove Lane.

5:05 p.m., Jamestown — A dark-haired woman in a gray sweater and gray yoga pants started a fight in a business and was believed to have put items in her purse without paying.

5:20 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone on Carter Street said they heard two gunshots fired from a vehicle that drove past their house and they saw smoke in the air after the gunshots.

8:29 p.m., Sonora — A man on Serrano Road said a man “just busted out a window and is trying to get into the residence,” and the man breaking in said he was going to kill him with a gun.

8:35 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone was drunk in public at an apartment complex on Tuolumne Road.

11:14 p.m., Groveland — A woman on Elder Lane said her apartment was broken into.

MONDAY

1:15 p.m., Tuolumne — An arrest was made for vandalism that occurred at a business on Tuolumne Road North.

5:30 a.m., Big Oak Flat — An arrest was made in a fight on Wards Ferry Road.

7:26 a.m., Sonora — A man said that two of his vehicles were rummaged through during the night on Currey Street.

7:57 a.m., Sonora — A man who slept or was passed out in a silver Chevy Trailblaze­r was arrested on Crestview Drive.

6:29 p.m., Sonora — Someone said sparks came out of a chimney on Sparrow Lane.

TUESDAY

9 a.m., Columbia — An automotive tool was stolen from Columbia College.

9:43 a.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Someone said a man sat on business property since 11 p.m. the night before on Mono Vista Road south.

10:11 a.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Five wallets from five different people were dropped in mail bins at the Soulsbyvil­le Post Office on Willow Springs Road.

10:50 a.m., Jamestown — Several storage units were burglarize­d on Victoria Place.

11:20 a.m., Tuolumne — A man said his girlfriend’s vehicle was burglarize­d on Tuolumne Road.

11:35 p.m., Sonora — Someone lost a black unifold wallet at a business on Mono Way.

3:40 p.m., Sonora — A man said tools that were hidden under a tonneau cover on his truck were stolen on Fallon Drive.

8:41 p.m., Sonora — Someone was arrested for being drunk in public at an eatery on Mono Way.

10:26 p.m., Sonora — Starla Lynn Timmons, 48, of the 3000 block of Bixby Way, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of force or assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm with great bodily injury likely and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, after an arrest on Mono Way.

9:16 p.m., East Sonora —

Brendan David Ruhga, 26, of the 16400 block of Caddo Circle, was booked on suspicion of battery on a peace officer, obstructin­g or resisting an executive officer with threats or violence, and misdemeano­r charges of resisting arrest and public intoxicati­on, after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.
