How much unwoke Mcclintock costs taxpayers

In the Nov. 6 Union Democrat, U.S. Rep. Tom Mcclintock complains about what “the woke” may cost taxpayers, and that this is a form of socialism. What Mcclintock doesn't admit is how much he himself is costing the taxpayer.

Mcclintock's base salary is $174,000. He also receives benefits which may equal or exceed 25% of his base salary. These benefits include the government (taxpayer) funded portion of his Social Security contribution, his excellent and comprehensive health care insurance, the taxpayer funded contributions to his pension, and more. How many residents of District 4 receive such generous payments from the taxpayer?

We observed Veterans Day earlier this month. How well are veterans and members of the military paid? It is estimated that the average military salary is about $42,000. Mcclintock is taking a taxpayer funded salary at least four times what members of the military earn.

Congressional representatives can refuse their government salary and benefits. Has Mcclintock shown such consideration for the taxpayer? If he cares so much about taxpayers, we challenge Mcclintock to wake up and refuse his taxpayer funded salary and generous benefits.
