The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:58 a.m., theft — A woman in a maroon top and gray yoga pants put items in her purse and under a child’s car seat with a small child in it and went in and out of a business on South Washington Street. She was cited and released and given a trespass letter.

11:47 a.m., warrant arrest — A man used profanitie­s, was aggressive with employees, refused to leave a business on Sanguinett­i Road. He was arrested and trespassed from the business.

4:13 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone said a man in a black hat, sunglasses, black long sleeved shirt, gray pants, backpack and a skateboard took apart a piece of furniture near a furniture store on South Shepherd Street. An officer checked the area and the furniture appeared to be abandoned.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:31 a.m., Jamestown — A black cow was in front of the Sheriff’s Posse Clubhouse on Rawhide Road and cows were out in the road.

9:12 a.m., Sonora — An employee said he saw a person in a dark colored sedan steal a bale of hay at a fee store on Highway 108.

9:45 a.m., Twain Harte — Dozens of calls were received for a controlled burn on Mount Provo.

10:54 a.m., Sonora — A report was taken for a burglary at Standard Park on Standard Road. A fence was cut to gain access to the park, and a battery and tarps were taken. There was an attempt to break into the concession stand.

11:00 Sonora —

Someone cut holes in a fence and vandalized a breaker box at a fitness center on Mono Way.

11:26 a.m., Sonora — A woman on Cavalieri Road said she found a canvas bag stuffed into her fence and was unsure what it contained.

12:53 p.m., Sonora — Someone said they received many complaints from business owners about people who camped in a shopping center on Mono Way.

12:53 p.m., Twain Harte — A man from the Crystal Fall area said there was an out-ofcontrol fire on the south side of Highway 108.

1:38 p.m., Jamestown — A structure fire occurred in a mobile home park on Peppermint Circle.

2:48 p.m., Long Barn — A man said his neighbor was shooting in the area of Mono Road.

3:11 p.m., Jamestown — A lock and a chain were vandalized at Table Mountain and Chicken Ranch roads.

3:58 p.m., Tuolumne — An RV caught fire on Oak Street.

5:58 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said there was an explosion near Highway 108 and Bell Mooney Road.

7:45 p.m., Strawberry — Someone said a truck went down an embankment on Highway 108.

11:38 p.m., Jamestown —

Someone said a person was shooting near a storage facility and led to an arrest on O’byrnes Ferry Road.

12:30 a.m., Jamestown — James Frances Horan II, 57, of the 22000 block of Colorado River Drive, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 and Montezuma Road.

TUESDAY

2:52 p.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for an assault on Mountain Ranch Road.

6:34 p.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for suspicious circumstan­ces on Hogan Dam Road.

9:05 p.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for a disturbanc­e on Crosby Court.
