Justin Richard Podesta

1968 — 2021

Lifelong Tuolumne county resident Justin Richard Podesta died in his Soulsbyville home on Nov. 19, at the age of 53. He was a beloved husband, loving brother and an amazing son.

Justin enjoyed the eastern Sierras. He was born and raised in Tuolumne County, where he later worked for Kanthal Corporation. His hobbies included fishing, camping and being outdoors. He played many years of softball, and his most recent fun was side-byside riding. He was a man of few words with a huge heart and was taken much too soon. He will forever be remembered in our thoughts.

Justin was an amazing husband and best friend to his wife of 31 years, Mary Elizabeth Podesta. He also leaves behind his sister, Tammy Mccool, of Modesto, and numerous distant cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn J. Terry, and father, Mel A. Podesta.

A celebration of life will be held at the Sheriff’s Posse grounds in January 2022, which will be announced at a later date.
