Job fair today will feature 25+ employers

Mother Lode Job Training will host a job fair featuring more than 25 Tuolumne County employers from 1-5 p.m. today at the Mother Lode Fairground­s at 220 Southgate Drive in Sonora

Job fair attendees looking for employment are encouraged to dress appropriat­ely, as if they were attending a job interview and to bring along a resume.

“Businesses are coming to the job fair prepared to hire,” Dave Thoeny, director for Mother Lode Job Training, said. “The expectatio­n by potential employees should be to go home with a job or a job offer.”

Employers that will be represente­d at the event include: Mother Lode Job Training, MACT Health Board Inc., Blue Mountain Minerals, Sierra Pacific Industries Sonora-chinese Camp, Skyline Place Senior Assisted Living, Greater Valley Conservati­on Corps, Amador-tuolumne Community Action Agency, California State Parks, Black Oak Casino Resort, Tuolumne County, Sonora Elementary, U.S. Forest Service, USPS Careers, Adventist Health Sonora, Tuolumne County Superinten­dent Of Schools Office, California Highway Patrol, Avalon Healthcare-sonora, Dodge Ridge, ARCH, Crothall Healthcare, Walmart Sonora, California Correction­al Health Care Services - Careers, University of California Agricultur­e and Natural Resources and Kinematic Automation.

The event is sponsored by the MACT Health Board and Blue Mountain Minerals.
