Calaveras County adds 2 more COVID-19 deaths
Calaveras County confirmed two more COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday, a man in his 70s and a man in his 80s, bringing its death toll from the pandemic to 91 since early last year.
The COVID-19 death toll in Tuolumne County remained at 144, which includes 71 since Aug. 1.
Tuolumne County added 16 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, with 15 of those individuals unvaccinated and one who was vaccinated.
There were also eight people hospitalized in Tuolumne County for COVID-19 on Tuesday, including seven who were vaccinated and one who was unvaccinated.
The daily case rate in Tuolumne County increased slightly Tuesday to 20.7 per 100,000 residents averaged over the previous two weeks, up from 20.1 per 100,000 on Monday.
Tuolumne County’s new cases on Tuesday were identified as one girl under age 12; one girl and one boy between 12 and 17; three men between 18 and 29; one woman and one man in their 30s; two women and two men in their 40s; two men in their 50s; one man in his 60s; and one woman in her 70s.
Calaveras County added 19 more cases of the novel coronavirus Tuesday, but its public health division does not publicly disclose vaccination status of new cases or deaths attributed to COVID-19.
