TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

A 3:13 57-year-old a.m., warrant man who arrests drove — past an officer in a white minivan with a missing front tire was arrested on outstandin­g warrants.

12:10 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man wearing jeans, a brown jacket and red hat was seen looking into windows and trying doors of vehicles parked in a Sanguinett­i Road lot.

2:14 p.m., vehicle theft — A woman who parked her vehicle in a Greenley Road lot at 7:15 a.m. said the vehicle was no longer there. A be-on-the-lookout was issued for the vehicle.

3:32 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — A caller said two people in a green Quest van were “throwing blows” at each other. An officer saw the vehicle head westbound on Highway 108, but lost sight of it.

4:03 p.m., suspicious circum

stances — A man in a black hat and camouflage jacket ran around a Sanguinett­i Road parking lot with a hammer for several hours and was seen in bushes in front of a store. An officer determined the man was part of a landscapin­g work crew.

4:46 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Two men seen trying to break into a white Ford parked on Morningsta­r Drive

with a screwdrive­r were locked out of their vehicle.

5:46 p.m., theft — A shopper at a Sanguinett­i Road store was handed a note by someone who saw a person steal a red 5-gallon gas can off of the shopper’s truck. The note had a descriptio­n and license plate number of the gas-can thief’s vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

6:38 a.m., Sonora — Someone was arrested after a fight at a Big Hill Road mobile home park.

6:55 a.m., Sonora — A man said there was a fire a half-mile behind his house on Robin Ridge Road.

9:23 a.m., Sonora — Someone said a black Escalade with a broken window and mismatched license plates was parked in the wrong direction on Cedar and Pine roads.

10:03 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her stolen vehicle was at an RV park on Highway 108.

10:17 a.m., Columbia — A report was taken for a sexual assault on Italian Bar Road.

12:40 p.m., Sonora — The window of a silver 2015 Mazda 6 parked on Mono Way was broken and a backpack stolen.

1:20 p.m., Groveland — A firearm was stolen on Foote Street.

2:10 p.m., Jamestown — People fought at a business on Chicken Ranch Road.

3:25 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on Cedar Springs Road said a neighbor intentiona­lly raked leaves up to her property line to create a fire hazard.

8:06 p.m., Columbia — A theft occurred on Green Street.

8:22 p.m., Groveland — A report was taken for a sexual assault on Elder Lane.

8:43 p.m., Jamestown — Timothy Wilson Anderson, 46, of the 10000 block of La Grange Road, was booked with an additional misdemeano­r charge of possession of a controlled substance on Highway 120 at Highway 108.

WEDNESDAY

12:35 a.m., Sonora — Silvia Liliana Hernandez, 27, of the 1600 block of Paseo Del Oro, Chula Vista, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant after an arrest on Hess Avenue.

4:57 a.m., Jamestown — Christian Joe Parra, 19, of the 6000 block of Fountain Avenue, Newark, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs with a prior conviction and driving under the influence of alcohol over 0.08% with a prior conviction, after an arrest on Highway 120 east of Tulloch Dam Road.

11 a.m., Sugar Pine — Sean Matthew Evans, 40, address not given, was booked on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent/vehicle theft and receiving/etc. known stolen property after an arrest on Highway 108.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

7:32 a.m., Valley Springs — A Highway 12 property was burglarize­d.

11:21 a.m., Wilseyvill­e — A Mitchell Mill Road property was burglarize­d.

4:31 p.m., San Andreas — A Murray Creek Road property was burglarize­d.
