Patricia Ann Friary Klein Buck

Patricia was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Sept. 18, 1933, to Jack and Dora Friary. They moved to Tuolumne, California, where she attended Summerville High School. Pat went on to get her nursing degree at St. Mary’s, and had a career in many different hospitals and facilities.

She married Robert Klein and had eight children, all raised in Sonora. After they divorced, Pat married Tom Buck and lived in Modesto, Lancaster and Groveland. When widowed in 1994, she retired to Tuolumne. In 2014, Pat moved to Prineville, Oregon, where she resided until her death on Sept. 10, 2021.

Pat was preceded in death by husbands Robert Klein and Thomas Buck, daughter Mary Klein, sister Dolores Hall, brother Jack Friary, and three grandchildren.

She is survived by seven children, John (Chere) Klein, Roy (Jackie) Klein, Becky Klein Slaughter, Dolores Klein Bittick, Tina Klein (Rik) Benton, Robert Klein and Patrick (Deedee) Klein; stepdaughters Robin Buck (Bruce) Meyers and Doreen Buck Sparks; sister Jan Colombani; 12 nieces and nephews; 14 grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren. An informal celebration of life will be in September 2022.
