TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:43 a.m., hazardous situation — Railroad crossing arms at Old Wards Ferry and Sanguinett­i roads were stuck in the down position.

9:34 a.m., lost/found property — Someone at a South Washington Street business turned in a wallet to the department that had been at the establishm­ent for two months.

10:59 a.m., theft — A young man and a middle-aged woman attempted to pay for groceries at a South Washington Street store while having other items concealed in their pockets. Both were arrested on suspicion of shopliftin­g.

12:25 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — A woman threatened and cussed at another woman outside of a Fairview Lane therapy office.

2:01 p.m., reckless driving — A motorist drove all over the roadway, crossed the center line and nearly caused several collisions on South Stewart Street. When contacted by police, the driver said he was having car problems and had been distracted by his dog.

5:31 p.m., traffic accidents — Two callers said the driver of a vehicle that was leaking fluids hit multiple objects on Morning Star Drive including other vehicles, curbs and mailboxes. Officers tracked the fluid to Highway 108 and a be-on-thelookout was issued.

5:56 p.m., traffic accidents — A man said another driver slammed on their brakes causing him to rear-end the vehicle at a South Washington Street gas station, then sped away.

7:55 p.m., lost/found property — A woman said she saw a man riding her friend’s electric bike, which had been stolen. The woman said the bike had been repainted, and the man was in front of a Stockton Road business. Officers determined the man’s bike was not electric and had a factory paint job.

9:03 p.m., animal complaints — A woman on Pesce Way said a wolf-type dog and a white dog attacked her dogs, and one of the woman’s dogs ran off. She also said she couldn’t get home because the two loose dogs were blocking her way. The dogs were placed in quarantine by Animal Control.

9:23 p.m., trespass/loiter — A security officer at a Greenley Road medical facility was slapped by a woman, who then refused to leave and stood outside banging on a window. The woman was trespassed, and the security officer declined to press charges.

3:39 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A Magnolia Lane property was burglarize­d.

4:33 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A Magnolia Lane property was burglarize­d.

4:51, West Point — Something was stolen from a Stanley Road property.
