Jeanie Marie Proctor-tweedy

Former Tuolumne County resident and shop owner Jeanie Marie Proctor-Tweedy, of Oakdale, passed away on Nov. 19, 2021, at the age of 85.

Born in Tacoma, Washington, Jeanie eventually moved to California. In the 1980s and 1990s, she was owner of the Butterfiel­d House in Jamestown. She was a member of both Sonora and Oakdale Seventhday Adventist Churches. She loved gardening and world travel with Maranatha Volunteers Internatio­nal, as well as cooking for and serving others.

Jeanie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Joseph Tweedy, of Oakdale; children Shona Macomber, of Spring Valley, Ohio, David Proctor, of Sonora, Shelley Sordo, of Modesto, and three stepchildr­en; 21 grandchild­ren and stepgrandc­hildren; 20 greatand step- great-grandchild­ren; and her brother, Richard Mccarthy, of San Diego. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Proctor, and her sister, Shirley Burchette.

Private family services will be held.
