Orval Sholer

1945 - 2021

Longtime Jamestown resident and U.S. Army veteran Orval Sholer passed away on Dec. 22, 2021, at the age of 76.

Born in French Camp, Orval lived the past 45 years in Jamestown, where he was a plumbing contractor before retiring. He was a lifelong hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his grandkids hunting and fishing.

Orval is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lynn Sholer; his children, Chris Sholer and Suzzi (Kelly) O’flinn; and grandchildren Garret Sholer, Drew O’flinn, Emily O’flinn and Will O’flinn. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Sholer, nine siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home.
