P. Sarge Furman OBITUARIES

-

1949 — 2021

P. Sarge Furman passed away Dec. 16 at her home in Sonora with her cat in her lap at age 72.

Born Pamala Kay Morris in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, to James and Betty Morris. After high school, she joined the Army and served her time in Army Intelligence. She moved to California in the early 1980s and became a bookkeeper for a kitchen cabinet company. She learned so much, she started her own cabinet company.

P. Sarge became adept at everything she tried and loved. She was an expert at quilting, painting and jewelry making, as well as an animal lover. She won awards and contests, always excelling. As an avid advocate for the healing powers of animals, she would bring her pets to assisted living facilities for the residents to enjoy. Her melodious voice, abundant sense of humor and the gift of gab made her a joy to converse with.

She is survived by her brother, Don, and his wife Linda; her niece Kelly; and her great-niece Mia; longtime friends and mentors, Hawk and Rick; and, of course, her cats, Stinky and Elizabeth.
