The Sonora Police Department reported the following:
THURSDAY
10:52 a.m., trespass/loiter — An unvaccinated, unmasked man refused to leave the lobby of a Greenley Road medical center.
2:09 p.m., trespass/loiter — A woman wearing a purple shirt and black pants slept next to the drive-through lane of a Mono Way bank. She left after being contacted by an officer.
2:20 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man wrapped in blankets and sleeping in front of a Stockton Road business moved along after being contacted by an officer.
2:52 p.m., trespass/loiter — Two women and a dog blocked the doorway of a Stockton Road business so a person inside couldn’t leave.
3:03 p.m., traffic violations — The driver of a white SUV was admonished by an officer after being seen pulling into the parking lot with a small child sitting in the lap of a front passenger.
FRIDAY
12:24 a.m., trespass/loiter — Someone banged on a door and demanded to be let into a South Washington Street property.
9:42 a.m., theft — A person inside a South Washington Street bank said another man in the bank was wearing boots stolen from a nearby business a few days prior.
4:35 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — An older woman wearing a gray beanie and striped black-andwhite shirt yelled and scattered things in front of a South Washington Street lodge.
10:32 p.m., public intoxication — An intoxicated woman who was unresponsive behind a South Washington Street business was released to a friend to take her home.
SATURDAY
4:21 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A South Green Street resident said her vape pen and her intoxicated boyfriend were missing, and she suspected he was on his way to a party “up the hill” with her vehicle. The man was found by a CHP officer after a non-injury accident on Longeway Road and booked for DUI.
8:08 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Three vehicles parked at a Mono Way business were vandalized in the middle of the night by a man driving a white Chevy crewcab Silverado. Surveillance footage showed a man crawl under the vehicles, where he then punched holes in the gas tanks to steal the fuel.
10:18 a.m., vehicle theft — A man in a dark hoodie took a vehicle from a Highway 49 storage yard without the vehicle being released.
1:06 p.m. suspicious circumstances — A woman wearing red headphones, a black jogging suit and pink shoes who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs swung a rope at a Fairview Lane resident and told the resident to not come near. She agreed to leave after an officer arrived.
2:22 p.m., warrant arrests — A woman who was seen smoking out of foil and “nodding off” at a Stockton Road hotel was arrested on outstanding warrants.
3:06 p.m., reckless driving — A woman in a red-and-white striped beanie and a blue shirt who appeared drunk fell as she exited her vehicle then sat on the bumper in a Theall Street parking lot. An officer was unable to find the woman.
3:50 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A young man wearing a baseball cap ran through a gated backyard on Rose Avenue.
4:44 p.m., theft — A woman said people she had been staying with at a South Washington Street hotel left her belongings outside for her to pick up but took $20, a debit card and her son’s birth certificate and drained her bank account.
6:20 p.m., warrant arrests — People at a residence on Theall Street said a known felon was at the home and they would “hold onto him so he can’t leave” until officers arrived. The man was booked on felony warrants.
SUNDAY
12:03 a.m., controlled substances — A man found a bag that contained a crystalline substance on the ground near a park on Woods Creek Drive. An officer determined the contents were rock salt.
4:54 p.m., theft — A man wearing a hat and gray sweater reached through the window of a South Washington Street drive-through kiosk and took money off the counter.
6:56 p.m., theft — A woman who was under-ringing merchandise at a Sanguinetti Road store left the area when confronted but left her purse and backpack behind.
7:53 p.m., theft — A man walked out of a Sanguinetti Road store with a generator he hadn’t paid for.
11:56 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A Lyons-bald Mountain Road resident said she believed someone tried to get into her apartment because the door knob was jiggling.
