Riley Patrick Flood of Delhi, California, passed away at age 32 on Dec. 17, 2021, in Sonora.

Riley was born in Sonora and lived in Long Barn and Sierra Village for 16 years before moving to Turlock and then Delhi. He attended Pinecrest Elementary, Summervill­e High School, and graduated Turlock High School in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothe­r, Grace Smith, and honorary grandmothe­r, June Consani.

He is survived by his daughter, Penelope, of Sparks, Nevada; mother, Anita Flood, of Delhi; father, Patrick Flood, of Sonora; and sisters, Sarah Grantano (Anthony), of Turlock, Amanda Antis (Johnie), of Hughson, Emily Anderson (Joseph), of San Rafael, and Frankie Dow (Thomas), of Reno, Nevada. He will also be missed by many uncles, aunts and cousins, and his nieces and nephews, Ashley and Zachary Ramaley, Jossalyn, Brienna and Trey Antis, and Charlotte Anderson.

Riley was a gentle, kind, and beautiful soul who gave the absolute best hugs. He will be dearly missed by all those who were lucky enough to know him.

Riley was curious, generous, funny, and very knowledgea­ble. He was passionate about learning and had a special interest in environmen­talism, bee conservanc­y, and advocacy for the underserve­d, especially those with severe mental illness, homeless individual­s, or those with substance use issues. He loved WWE and AEW wrestling, the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 915 E. Main St., Turlock. Masks are required indoors.

A reception with his favorite taco truck and a dessert will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made in his name to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Bringing potted plants will be appreciate­d and planted in the church memorial garden where his interment will be held in the spring.
