The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:08 a.m., public intoxicati­on — A man in his mid-40s was unresponsi­ve and lying on an entrance ramp to a Sanguinett­i Road business with a vodka bottle next to him. The man was arrested for public intoxicati­on.

10:56 a.m., animal complaints — A person on the Dragoon Gulch Trail said two large dogs, one brown and one black, were loose and unattended on the trail.

11:45 a.m., theft — A resident of a Greenley Road apartment complex said someone had been breaking in and a cat calming collar was stolen.

12:47 p.m., trespass/loiter — The property manager of a Stockton Road law office said a woman was camping in front of the business. An officer determined she was waiting for her clothes to dry and for some to “replace her wagon wheel.” Someone called back about 30 minutes later to say the woman was yelling in front of the business, then ran toward a nearby gas station.

1:22 p.m., theft — Someone said a cell phone, knife and storage key were stolen from a backpack in front of a Stockton Road business by a man in his early 20s with a broken nose who has been panhandlin­g in the area. The man was later found and arrested and the property returned to its owner.

2:55 p.m., controlled substances — A man lying on the side of South Forest Road “too close to the road” lifted his arm once as a motorist drove by and was later arrested.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY, Dec. 31 7:04 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone was assaulted at a

North Tuolumne Road business.

11:02 a.m., Mi-wuk Village — An employee of a tree service said an elderly woman was standing in front of a Lama Road residence and was “acting strange.”

11:04 a.m., Pinecrest — People cussed at a person who asked them to leave at Pinecrest Lake Resort.

12:14 p.m., Sonora area — A Phoenix Lake Road residence was burglarize­d.

12:51 p.m., Columbia — An older man wearing a camouflage jacket and bright green shoes cussed at a Parrotts Ferry Road man who had asked him to leave a neighbor’s property.

1:31 p.m., Sonora area — Something was stolen from a Belleview Road property.

2:22 p.m., Jamestown —

A man said he lost his black trifold wallet while walking his dog along a creek on Wigwam Road.

4:26 p.m., Jamestown — A woman tried to break the window of a white pickup on Rawhide Road after a man locked her out of it.

5:28 p.m., East Sonora — A Mono Way resident said people drove onto a neighborin­g property in a small gray SUV and a small white car and appeared to be getting ready to sleep there.

6:04 p.m., Tuolumne — A purse was stolen at a Tuolumne Road North business.

6:29 p.m., Mi-wuk Village — A man said the power went out before he finished pumping a pre-paid tank of fuel at a Highway 108 gas station, and the clerk inside the store had locked up and refused to refund his money.

6:44 p.m., Mi-wuk Village — A clerk at a Highway 108 gas station said a man in a blue pickup who was demanding his cash back tried to push up a window gate and refused to leave.

SATURDAY,

Jan. 1 1:24 a.m., Groveland — Someone was assaulted at the main gate on Pine Mountain Drive.

9:57 a.m., East Sonora — The motorist screamed and acted “drunk or high” in the drivethru of a Mono Way eatery.

12:56 p.m., Tuolumne — A Mira Monte Road resident said she believed someone came

onto her property in the middle of the night and wanted advice on gun ownership and trespassin­g.

1:25 P.M., Sonora — Two women and a man with a pit bull trespassed on Mono Way property and refused to leave.

1:33 p.m., East Sonora — An elderly man with a small blue cart was lying on the sidewalk in front of a Mono Way car dealership, and a caller said it was “a very strange place to be taking a nap.”

1:54 p.m., Pinecrest — Something was stolen on Dodge Ridge Road.

3:12 p.m., Twain Harte — People sledding along Highway 108 near Twain Harte caused a traffic hazard.

3:19 p.m., Long Barn — People who were sledding along Highway 108 near Long Barn Road blocked a lane of traffic and walked in the roadway.

3:19 p.m., Standard — A black cow was loose on Standard Road neartuolum­ne Road.

4 p.m., Long Barn — A Toban Way resident said he chased people who were sledding off of his property and heard gunfire shortly after.

4:24 p.m., Strawberry — Traffic on Highway 108 backed up after people parked their cars on a two-lane bridge.

SUNDAY, Jan. 2 7:37 a.m., Sonora — A Broken Pine Road resident said a truck that someone parked the day before was blocking his driveway.

9:48 a.m., Sonora area — A fence was cut at a Reynolds Ferry Road storage business.

10:46 a.m., Jamestown — A Preston Lane resident called to complain about homeless people who were living on property behind an apartment complex.

2:41 p.m., Standard — A black cow was loose on Standard Road near Camage Avenue.

4:21 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Something was stolen from a Pokie Drive property.

5:39 p.m., Jamestown — A Seco Street resident found a dent and boot print on their vehicle.

5:43 p.m., Sonora area — A motorist said she was driving and another driver blocked her in the middle of Lucky Strike Trail.

5:45 p.m., Columbia area — Someone driving a gray or white older pickup with a camper shell crossed double-yellow lines on Parrotts Ferry Road and almost hit a deputy head-on.

8:50 p.m., Jamestown — A Silver Pine Road property was burglarize­d.

MONDAY,

Jan. 3 8:04 a.m., East Sonora — An employee of a Mono Way fitness center said it appeared that someone had camped behind the business in a white van.

8:46 a.m., La Grange area — A gate and lock were damaged at a storage area at Don Pedro Reservoir.

1:32 p.m., East Sonora — A man wearing an Army green jacket holding a drink in his hand appeared to be passed out leaning against a tree in the middle of the roadway at The Junction shopping center.

2:24 p.m. Sonora — A be-onthe-lookout was issued for a blue 2015 Chevy Silverado that was taken from South Shepherd Street on Dec. 31.

2:46 p.m., Mi-wuk Village — The driver of a garbage truck pulled into the Mi-wuk-sugar Pine Fire Station and said his truck was on fire.

2:58 p.m., East Sonora — An Argyle Road property was burglarize­d.

8:12 p.m., Big Oak Flat — A Henderson Street resident said someone tried to break into their garage.

10:52 p.m., Sonora — Someone walked with a flashlight on property at a Mono Way mobile home park.

11:46 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said he heard a loud truck, then saw a group of four or five men with a fire burning on Eagle Ridge Drive.

TUESDAY

9:35 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone was sexually assaulted at a Highway 108 property.

9:47 p.m., Columbia — A motorist on Parrotts Ferry Road said someone driving a dark SUV covered in mud passed him going 100 mph.

10:47 p.m., Sonora area — A woman was locked behind a gate at a storage facility on Camage Avenue.

WEDNESDAY

6:57 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman said a man would not let her leave with her vehicle at Carter Street school.

9:41 a.m., Groveland — A man said he went to a Powderhous­e Street business to collect on a bill and was assaulted there by a woman.

10:07 a.m., Jamestown — A fuel line was cut on a mail truck parked at the Jamestown Post Office on Main Street.

11:28 a.m., unknown address — The Kingsburg Police Department reported a sexual assault that had occurred in Tuolumne County.

11:52 a.m., Groveland — A vehicle that looked like “an Indy car” was racing at the Pine Mountain Lake Airport.

12:11 p.m., Sonora — Someone broke into a locking mailbox on Jamestown Road.

3:46 p.m., Sonora area — Someone heard five gunshots near a sheep ranch on Wards Ferry Road and said “the sheep went running.”

4:29 p.m., Twain Harte — A Blue Oak Gulch Road woman who hung up after calling 911 said she did not mean to dial 911 and did not remember doing so, then told the dispatcher she thought the callback was a scam.

4:40 p.m., East Sonora — The driver of a red Chevy Tahoe said her vehicle was struck by a fire truck as it passed her on Tuolumne Road.

5:32 p.m., East Sonora — A woman wearing a black sweater, gray pants, a red bandana on her head and a Spiderman mask was “tripping out” in the parking lot of a Mono Way pharmacy.

10:16 p.mm., Columbia — People fought at a Parrotts Ferry Road mobile home park.

11:46 p.m., Twain Harte — Two men who were pushing dumpsters into the middle of Joaquin Gully Road yelled at a man when he told them he was calling the police.

SATURDAY, Jan. 1 2:02 a.m., Sonora — Kenneth Wayne Pritchard, 37, of the 20800 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road, was booked after an arrest on South Shepherd Street.

2:56 a.m., Jamestown — Donna Marie Wozniak, 24, of the 100 block of Columbia Way, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Main Street.

5:30 a.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Triston Gil Blodgett, 26, of the 100 block of South Green Street, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 near Soulsbyvil­le Road.

10:22 p.m., East Sonora — Amanda Shea Large, 23, of the 21700 block of El Oso Way, was booked after an arrest in a parking lot on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

Jan. 2 8:39 p.m., Yosemite Junction — Jose Alberto Millancruz, 41, of the 2200 block of Glendale

Avenue, Modesto, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 east of Highway 120.

4:20 p.m., Jamestown area — Peter John Tomaino, 56, of the 11000 block of Racetrack Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 at Sierra Rock Road.

10:11 p.m., East Sonora — John Allan Hearther, 58, of the 13700 block of Kinkaid Flat Road, was booked with an additional misdemeano­r charge of DUI while license is suspended for DUI after an arrest at Lambert Lake and Tuolumne roads.

1:42 p.m., Sonora — John Harvey Porter, 57, address unknown, was booked on suspicion of robbery and committing a felony while out on bail or released on own recognizan­ce, after an arrest at Highway 108 and Stockton Road.
