TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

2:28 a.m., vandalism/ property damage — A window was broken at a business on South Washington Street.

7:22 a.m., lost/found property — A Tuolumne County Public Works employee found an empty bag and a catalytic converter in bushes on South Shepherd Street.

10:18 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man wearing a green hoodie and gray sweatpants was seen peering into vehicles parked on Yaney Avenue, then Elm Street. The man told an officer he was looking for his dog.

11:16 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A caller said a man wearing overalls stood in Courthouse Square facing traffic holding a sign that said “Need Weed.”

12:27 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A caller asked for a welfare check on a person wearing a black coat who was going through trash cans and appeared to be trying to break into a coin machine at a car wash on Mono Way.

5:32 p.m., theft — A man and woman were arrested after an employee of a Mono Way business said they were attempting to shoplift.

6:44 p.m., trespass/loiter — An 84-year-old customer threatened to throw a printer at an employee of a Sanguinett­i Road business. The man was issued a formal trespass from the business.

8:53 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A janitor at a Greenley Road school said someone was walking around the campus blowing a whistle.

SATURDAY

11:37 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man was issued a formal trespass after an employee of an Old Wards Ferry Road business said they saw smoke on the other side of a fence.

12:04 p.m., animal complaints — A 16-year-old Chihuahua named Seymour was reported missing by his Knowles Hill Road owner. The dog returned home a few hours later.

12:30 p.m., animal complaints — A brown pit bullboxer mix dog with an orange collar wandered around a Sanguinett­i Road parking lot.

SUNDAY

9:33 a.m., fraudulent activities — A Gerrymande­r Avenue resident said an unknown person took $10,000 from their bank account.

2:12 p.m., animal complaints — A caller said a large black dog had been tied up in a Nevada Street front yard for two days. The homeowner said the dog belonged to her son, who is out of town, and she would try to keep the dog quiet.

2:38 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — A caller said he was “assaulted” by a white Subaru that a former friend was riding in.

6:27 p.m., vandalism/ property damage — A glass pane was broken on the front door of a Mono Way business.

8:30 p.m., theft — A small woman left a Sanguinett­i Road business with merchandis­e she hadn’t paid for and left in a black sedan that was waiting outside.

FRIDAY

5:07 a.m., Sonora — A report was taken for suspicious activity at a Mono Way business.

8:25 a.m., Tuolumne — A pig was running loose on Yosemite Road near Hammer Lane.

10:03 a.m., Twain Harte — A trailer was abandoned on Fremont Way.

10:08 a.m., Sonora — A maintenanc­e person was assaulted by a resident of a Tuolumne Road mobile home park.

10:29 a.m., Sonora — Loose lamas were seen heading up Old Sonora Columbia Road toward Highway 49.

1:54 p.m., Groveland — Fuel was stolen from the Pine Mountain Lake Airport on Elderberry Way.

2 p.m., Twain Harte — Mail was stolen on Cedar Pines Avenue.

SATURDAY

12:27 a.m., Sonora — Several calls were made to report a fire on Curtis Court.

1:04 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone was arrested after trespassin­g at a Tuolumne Road North business.

7:16 a.m., Columbia — A Parrotts Ferry Road property was vandalized.

8:23 a.m., Tuolumne — A pig was spotted running around near Tuolumne Road at Tuolumne Road North.

8:53 a.m., Sonora — A Mono Way business was vandalized.

1:51 p.m., Sonora — A garden hose was vandalized on Lynn Lane.

2:18 p.m., Groveland — A dog found in the Highway 120 area near Ferretti Road was turned over to Animal Control.

6:20 p.m., Columbia — A white-and-black Aristocrat travel trailer was stolen from a Brian Lane business.

SUNDAY

5:06 a.m., Twain Harte — A Tiffeni Drive property was burglarize­d.

6:59 a.m., Sonora — A Mono Way business was burglarize­d.

9:28 a.m., Sonora — A suspicious vehicle was left on property on Longeway Road.

4:58 p.m., Columbia — A dog found on Sawmill Flat Road was turned over to Animal Control.

11:50 p.m., Sonora — Halle Rose Weiser, 29, of the 30 block of West Lane, was booked after an arrest on South Washington Street.

8:13 p.m., Sonora — Dalton Dwain Doran, 22, of the 1300 block of Cathlyn Court, Ripon, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 near Golf Links Road.

SUNDAY

5:48 p.m., Sonora — Lee Shane Peterson, 46, of the 22000 block of Feather River Drive, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 near Mono Vista Road. Peterson was additional­ly charged with felony evading a police officer with disregard to safety and an out-of-county felony warrant.

10:53 a.m., Sonora — Brooke Anne Mccutcheon, 54, of the 14000 block of Tuolumne Road, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon/not a firearm and causing injury to an elder/ dependent adult after an arrest at her home.

3:22 p.m., Sonora — Nathaniel Lewis Welsh, 18, of the 22000 block of Airport Road, Columbia, was booked on suspicion of having sex with a minor/3 or more years younger after an arrest on Justice Center Drive.

12:37 a.m., Sonora — Phillip James Mejia, 27, of the 16000 block of Big Hill Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant/date and false imprisonme­nt with violence after an arrest at his home.

1:05 p.m., Sonora — David Lee Lario, 41, of the 100 block of Stefan Lane, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant/date, misdemeano­r damaging a wireless communicat­ion device and a misdemeano­r warrant after an arrest on the 12000 block of Chukar Circle.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

5:40 a.m., San Andreas — People fought at a West St. Charles Street parking lot.

9:21 a.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for battery on West St. Charles Street.

Noon, Copperopol­is — A person trying to sell items out of a vehicle to people working at a site on Highway 4 was deemed suspicious.

9:31 p.m., West Point — A Winton Road property was burglarize­d.

11:10 p.m., Copperopol­is — An Athena Drive resident heard loud banging on his front door and his garage door open.

2:18 a.m., San Andreas — Someone caused a disturbanc­e on West St. Charles Street.

12:59 p.m., Arnold — One person was arrested on outof-state warrants after a call about a disturbanc­e on Rancho Paradiso.

5:49 p.m., West Point — A Lily Gap Road resident said a vehicle was going through the area with a spotlight on. A Tree Lane resident called at 6:17 p.m. to report the same thing.

12:41 p.m., Campo Seco — Pamela Kay Rogers, 69, of the 7000 block of Lake Amador Drive, Ione, was booked after an arrest on Pardee Dam Road.

11:36 p.m., Angels Camp — Kevin Mooney, 69, of the 17000 block of Rolling Hill Boulevard, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 south of Highway 4.
