Dominic’s Players to Watch:

-

• Mateo Mojica and Brandon Burden: The key to the Bradshaw Christian offense is its interior running game, and that “runs” on the shoulders of Mojica and Burden. The pair average 110.5 and 98.2 yards per game, respectively, and have combined for 30 touchdowns this season. Slowing down this pair at the line of scrimmage will be the Summerville defense’s prime directive Friday night.

• QB Ethan Rickert: Only a sophomore, Rickert is at the center of Bradshaw Christian’s “Cox Box” offense. In the run-dominant scheme, Rickert passes infrequently, but is very efficient when he does, completing 62.3 percent of his attempts for 74.2 yards per game. While he only has seven passing touchdowns on the season, he has shown the ability to connect with tight end David Wiser and should not be overlooked.

• TE/ILB David Wiser: Wiser is responsible for four of Bradshaw Christian’s seven touchdowns in the air this season. At tight end, Wiser rarely sees the ball come his way, but makes use of it when it does in the team’s double-wing offense. If the Pride find themselves down in the game, look for Rickert to find Wiser more often.
