The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

9:54 a.m., vandalism/property damage — A mailbox to Santa Claus installed at Courthouse Square was damaged sometime during the night.

10:32 a.m., lost/found property — An envelope containing money was found at a South Washington Street business.

11:11 a.m., theft — A caller said a black planner containing money, bank cards, photos and business cards was stolen from their unlocked vehicle when it was parked at a Mono Way restaurant.

1:41 p.m., lost/found property — A blue bank bag was found near a South Washington Street gas station and was logged into the Police Department’s found property book.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

12:59 a.m., Sonora — A man who appeared to be selling drugs out of a vehicle parked at a Mono Way gas station was asked to leave. Instead of leaving, he walked around the property and rummaged through trash cans.

8:08 a.m., Sonora — A customer of an Eagle Ridge Drive business said a husky and a pit-bull type dog were tied together.

1:11 p.m., Sonora — A report was taken for a theft at a Highway 108 restaurant.

1:37 p.m., Mi-wuk Village — Something was stolen

from a Lama Hisum Road property.

2 p.m., Sonora — Someone was assaulted at a Mono Way pizza restaurant.

2:19 p.m., Sonora — A report was taken for a fight or disturbanc­e at a Phoenix Lake Road trailer park.

4:09 p.m., Sonora — Tools were stolen from a vehicle parked at a Mono Way shopping center.

8 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Brian Lee Shrader, 35, of the 16000 block of Allison Way, was booked on suspicion of child abuse with possible great bodily injury/death and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant/date after an arrest at his home.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

2:08 p.m., Railroad Flat — Someone caused a disturbanc­e at an Independen­ce Road property.

2:20 p.m., Arnold — A report was taken for battery at a Second Street property.
