TUOLUMNE COUNTY
The Sonora Police Department reported the following:
TUESDAY
10:16 a.m., theft — Someone was arrested for shoplifting at a Sanguinetti Road store.
11:23 a.m., animal complaints — A man wearing a red shirt who had two young children with him kicked a Pomeranian dog at a Barretta Street ball field.
5:50 p.m., warrant arrests — A woman with long dark hair stood in the middle of North Washington Street and yelled for help, then tried to pull open the doors of a nearby museum. The woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
8:27 p.m., controlled substances — A man found a white crystalline powder in a bag inside a Sanguinetti Road store. The bag was collected by an officer and booked for destruction.
WEDNESDAY
12:02 p.m., assault — A woman flagged down an officer on Greenley Road and said someone threw a bottle at a 12-year-old passenger in her vehicle. The woman said she would review her dash cam footage to find the license plate number of the car from which the bottle was thrown.
12:10 p.m., animal complaints — A white-and-tan dog and a white-and-black dog ran loose on Mono Way near Sanguinetti Road.
4:08 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man who was trespassed from a Mono Way store returned. He was cited and released on a misdemeanor warrant.
4:21 p.m., animal complaints — A brown dog with a black collar ran loose on Shaws Flat Road. An officer returned the dog to its owner and issued the owner a written warning.
5:08 p.m., animal complaints — A brown horse ran through an unidentified parking lot and was last seen headed southbound on Greenley Road toward Mono Way.
7:31 p.m., theft — An employee of a Sanguinetti Road store said they caught someone “ticket switching.” The man was cited and released and issued a formal trespass notice.
7:39 p.m., theft — Two men took merchandise from a Mono Way store and left in a white Chevy Cruze. The men were found nearby and arrested.
8:37 p.m., trespass/loiter — Two men, one with a bedroll, were drinking and sleeping behind an Old Wards Ferry Road business. The two men left before an officer arrived.
THURSDAY
8:08 a.m., theft — A resident of a Lyons Bald Mountain Road apartment complex said someone broke the gas cap off her white Mazda Protege and siphoned gasoline. She called back a short time later and said she believed the catalytic converter was also stolen.
1:38 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man in a tan jacket and white sweatpants was arrested after entering a Mono Way business from which he had been formally trespassed.
6:58 p.m., controlled substances — A man out walking his dog on Elk Drive saw a man slumped over the steering wheel of a car parked in a nearby lot. The man was arrested on multiple drug charges.
7:16 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man who previously had been trespassed from a Sanguinetti Road business was arrested after returning and sitting in front of a neighboring business.
7:23 p.m., hazardous situation — An anonymous caller said a woman wearing a beanie and a long jacket removed “no parking” signs placed for the Sonora Christmas parade and hung them in front of Coffill Park. The woman also placed traffic cones into the roadway, impeding traffic. An officer made the woman return the cones to their original places and warned her of an outstanding out-of-county misdemeanor warrant.

8:19 a.m., Sonora — Abuse was reported on Sally Court.
9:30 a.m., Columbia — Something was stolen from a Forest Road 3N13 property.
6:17 p.m., Soulsbyville — Someone was given a warning after being drunk in public at a Soulsbyville Road business.
10:17 p.m., Columbia — A Marble Quarry Road resident said a bear was trying to get into their garage.

6:06 p.m., Sonora — Patricia Still Humphrey, 60, of the 11300 block of Columbia Village Road, was booked after an arrest on North Washington Street. Humphrey was also booked on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

8:49 a.m., Sonora — Jared Larz Sullivan, 28, of the 1900 block of French Gulch Road, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of grand theft and misdemeanors possession of burglary tools, possession of unlawful paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance after an arrest at a Sanguinetti Road shopping center.
