The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

7:15 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man was arrested and booked into jail for misdemeano­r trespassin­g at a business on Sanguinett­i Road.

9:26 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — An unoccupied silver Honda Accord was parked with one of its doors open in a lot behind a South Washington Street business.

11:04 a.m., pedestrian check — Officers checked on a woman behind the Tuolumne County Senior Center and determined she was just feeding the cats.

11:35 a.m., any civil problem — A woman said the owner of a South Washington Street business was refusing to give her a refund on items she had purchased. She was given back her money after an officer responded and determined it to be an error with the credit card machine.

12:58 p.m., parking — The owner of a South Washington Street business was advised that they couldn’t place cones in an area for public parking.

2:12 p.m., lost, found property — A woman brought a wallet to the police station on South Green Street that another person had originally found on the newsrack by The Union Democrat offices at 84 S. Washington St.

2:57 p.m., weapons violations — A woman said her caregiver found a “rifle-looking firearm” near a dumpster at an apartment complex on Greenley Road, but she was unsure if it was real or a toy because it had orange on it. Officers located the item and determined it was a toy.

3:14 p.m., traffic accidents — A guest at a lodging establishm­ent on South Washington Street said another guest hit their silver Ford Fusion and left.

5:47 p.m., public intoxicati­on — A man was arrested and booked on suspicion of misdemeano­r public intoxicati­on after a caller said he was sitting in front of a South Washington Street business and “yelling at everyone.”

6:18 p.m., municipal code violation — A hot dog vendor was being uncooperat­ive at a gas station on South Washington Street, but left the area after a verbal warning.

6:25 p.m., parking — A transit bus was unable to make a turn at South Shepherd and East Lyons streets due to a black Acura being parked in a spot where a parking cone had been moved out of the roadway.

8:18 p.m., lost, found property — A woman found two debit cards and an arcade card near her vehicle on South Stewart Street at the end of the Christmas parade, but she was unable to bring it to the police station until the following day.

7:43 p.m., reckless driving — A male driver pushed a hard closure with his vehicle and ran over a sign at West Bradford Avenue and South Washington Street while trying to get onto the latter. He was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of misdemeano­r reckless driving and vandalism, as well as infraction­s for not having registrati­on and disobeying a trafficcon­trol device.

SATURDAY

8:35 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man who was arrested and booked into jail the previous morning for misdemeano­r trespassin­g at a business on Sanguinett­i Road was cited and released for the same charge at a former movie theater on Mono Way.

10:37 a.m., theft — The same man from the previous incident was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of stealing a bottle of alcohol from a Sanguinett­i Road business.

1:43 p.m., warrant arrests — A man was arrested on a misdemeano­r warrant after a caller said two people had set up a “full encampment” in the bushes under a business’ sign on Stockton Road. A wallet was found at the site and returned to its owner, while a Reese’s bag full of cards belonging to different people was booked at the police station as found property.

4:50 p.m., theft — A woman and man pushed a cart full of merchandis­e out of a Sanguinett­i Road business without paying.

4:56 p.m., fraudulent activities — A woman said she was scammed by someone who called her claiming to to be “the sheriff” and advised her to deposit funds onto a QR code through a Mono Way pharmacy.

5:45 p.m., animal complaints — Two dogs were at large on Morning Star Drive, and one was picked up by Animal Control.

SUNDAY

9:13 a.m., theft — Two men who regularly steal from a Mono Way pharmacy were attempting to steal another product, but an employee was able to get it back before they left in a silver Ford Fusion heading south on Greenley Road.

11:10 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A Minners Way resident was concerned about a woman using their address to receive mail because they didn’t want her to use it for illegal purposes.

7:06 p.m., domestic violence — A man was throwing items at his wife and causing problems with other tenants at apartments on Greenley Road before he left in a “big, loud” green truck and backed into officers responding to the incident. No one was injured, and the man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

8:20 a.m., Groveland — A container full of car batteries was stolen at a transfer station on Merrell Road.

11:35 a.m., East Sonora — There was a fire on the side of Highway 108 at Hess Avenue.

2:14 p.m., Jamestown — A fox was “not acting right” at a Jamestown Road property.

THURSDAY

8:24 a.m., Jamestown — A woman at a mobile home park on Golf Links Road said someone stole her computer.

12:21 p.m., Jamestown — Someone was out with a lost dog at the U.S. Post Office on Main Street.

1:56 p.m., East Sonora — Something was vandalized at a mobile home park on Allison Way.

4:01 p.m., Jamestown — A cow was loose at Algerine and Stent Cut Off roads.

4:04 p.m., Jamestown — A white calf was loose at Algerine and Twist roads.

7:54 a.m., Mi-wuk Village — An Airbnb on Pine Lake Drive was flooded.

12:30 p.m., Sonora — Something was vandalized at Columbia Way and Skyview Drive.

2:35 p.m., Pinecrest — Someone was bitten by a dog at a business on Dodge Ridge Road.

3:40 p.m., Sonora — A walker was stolen in a burglary to a home on Shaws Flat Road.

4:33 p.m., East Sonora — A business on Eagle Ridge Drive was burglarize­d.

5:50 p.m., Sonora — A report was taken for abuse on Buena Oaks Court.

SUNDAY

7:30 a.m., Columbia — A cow was loose at Shaws Flat Road and Highway 49.

10:51 a.m., East Sonora — A black Angus cow was loose at Standard and Tuolumne roads.

1:06 p.m., East Sonora — Pills were stolen from a vehicle at a business on Mono Way.

12:50 a.m., Twain Harte — Steve Anthony Florez, 66, of the 22100 block of Tuolumne Road North, was booked after an arrest on East Avenue just south of Highway 108.

2:20 a.m., Groveland — Hanieh Attari, 36, of the 500 block of Del Medio Avenue, Mountain View, was booked after an arrest on Highway 120 east of Deer Flat Road.

7:50 p.m., Jamestown — Jason Scott Wallace, 42, of the 1200 block of Sanguinett­i Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of carjacking, vehicle theft, receiving stolen property and misdemeano­r driving while under the influence of alcohol, after an arrest on Golden Dove Lane.

7:47 a.m., San Andreas — Two vehicles were spraypaint­ed the previous night on Lewis Avenue.

10:43 a.m., Copperopol­is — A man in a bathrobe was approachin­g people in parked cars and asking for a ride at Little John Road and Reeds Turnpike.

10:47 a.m., San Andreas — A man on Mountain Ranch Road said he accidental­ly dialed 911 because he was trying to make a phone call to someone with a number that ended in 9011 and must have missed the 0.

11:42 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said they heard automatic gunfire on Thornicrof­t Drive.

12:20 p.m., Valley Springs — A phone was stolen on Daphne Street.

1:03 p.m., San Andreas — A trespasser kept returning to a property on Russell Road.
