Child Care Planning Council seeks input from community
The Tuolumne County Child Care Planning Council, in collaboration with essential community agencies and partners, promotes a high quality childcare system through equitable and inclusive advocacy, family engagement, provider support, and activities tailored to the diverse needs of all children.
One of the primary goals of the council is to establish and annually update local priorities for the maintenance, expansion and improvement of state funded child care services. Each year, the council identifies the Tuolumne County ZIP codes with the highest number of children eligible and waiting for enrollment in state-funded child care programs.
The council will meet from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Mother Lode Job Training office, 197 Mono Way, Suite B, in Sonora, to review core data elements to determine the priority ZIP codes. The public is invited to attend and participate in the review, ask questions and offer input. For more information, call (209) 425-0725.
