The Vasil­ica Mas­quer­ade Cel­e­bra­tion kicks off 2014 with a tra­di­tional Mace­do­nian fete.

David Kane, left, dressed as Bat­man, and Glenn Daigon, cos­tumed as Napoleon, obliged the re­quest for festive at­tire at the Vasil­ica Mas­quer­ade Cel­e­bra­tion, held Jan. 18 at the Mace­do­nian Em­bassy in Wash­ing­ton. Vasil­ica is a Mace­do­nian hol­i­day that com­mem­o­rates New Year’s Day and Saint Basil’s feast day. 2. In­ter­na­tional Pro­fes­sion­als Group (IPG) New York rep­re­sen­ta­tive Vera Arsova, cen­ter, sings and leads par­ty­go­ers in a tra­di­tional dance.
