2 Killed in Separate Shootings
D.C. police officers are investigating the shooting deaths of two men in separate incidents within an hour of each other Tuesday night, authorities said.
In the first incident, officers were called to an alley behind the 1200 block of 18th Street NE after gunshots were reported. They found William Marquez Aull, 20, about 10:50 p.m. with gunshot wounds to his head and upper body. Aull, who lived in the 1600 block of Trinidad Avenue NE, was dead at the scene, officers said.
About an hour later, officers found Kirk A. Hart, 28, with a gunshot wound in the fourthfloor hallway of his apartment complex in the 2700 block of Robinson Place SE, police said. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators released no motives or leads in the cases.
