Fed­eral Charges Filed in Wheaton Bank Theft

Fed­eral au­thor­i­ties charged four Mary­land res­i­dents Mon­day with con­spir­acy to steal $574,500 from a BB&T bank in Wheaton, al­leg­ing that they took part in a brazen swindle Jan. 9, in which a man walked into the bank dressed as an ar­mored truck courier and walked out with the money. Among those charged was the bank’s head teller, El­iz­a­beth K. Tarke, 40, of Ol­ney. Also charged in the case were David P. Mbom, 38, of Ca­tonsville, Robert T. Tataw, 42, of Sil­ver Spring and Ernest N. Yossa, 43, of Sil­ver Spring.
