Two teens charged in death of Va. man

Two Mary­land teenagers who are sus­pected gang mem­bers have been ar­rested and charged in the slay­ing of a 23-year-old Vir­ginia man.

Prince Ge­orge’s County po­lice said they ar­rested Maicol Al­varado-Baide and Er­lin An­drades-Ze­laya in the fa­tal stab­bing of Ye­frin Ar­gueta of Ar­ling­ton last month.

The sus­pects are 18 years old and from Oxon Hill. They are charged with first- and sec­ond­de­gree mur­der. The killing hap­pened around 10:45 p.m. on Feb. 25 in the 1100 block of Marcy Av­enue in Oxon Hill.

Both of the sus­pects are said to have known the vic­tim, ac­cord­ing to po­lice. Au­thor­i­ties said they are try­ing to fig­ure out a mo­tive. Of­fi­cials did not spec­ify what gang the sus­pects are be­lieved to be mem­bers of.
