For the Virginia primaries
Voters in Virginia go to the polls Tuesday for Republican and Democratic primaries. On the ballot are state legislative and local offices.
Virginia doesn’t register voters by party, so any registered voter can vote in either primary. Voters must choose either the Democratic or Republican ballot. Voters can find their polling places and get other information from the Virginia Department of Elections. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
