Man charged with impersonat­ing officer


A man has been charged with impersonat­ing a police officer on the Eastern Shore, Maryland State Police announced Thursday.

The 24-year-old Fruitland man surrendere­d to police at the Salisbury Barrack and was charged with three counts of impersonat­ing a police officer, police said.

Troopers received multiple complaints about a man driving a Ford Crown Victoria with no police markings in Salisbury who was activating emergency lights to move traffic out of his way and trying to make traffic stops.

Investigat­ors are working to determine if there are any other victims.
