The Washington Post
Barry Svrluga hit the nail on the head in his Sept. 10 Sports column on the interview of Tanya Snyder by ESPN’S Adam Schefter, “A victim act that only insults real victims.” Ms. Snyder absolutely fumbled.
I don’t know whether Ms. Snyder is clueless or so hardhearted that she ignores the voices of the women who endured the obscene behavior in the Washington Football Team’s front office. I am a lifelong Washingtonian and have tried to support the team since the Snyders bought the controlling interest, but it has been hard. Despite Coach Ron Rivera’s efforts and the new team president, the National Football League’s decision not to act against the team (or to even provide a report) and the kind of cavalier disregard shown by the owners have me looking 50 miles north for a team to support. As Mr. Svrluga wrote, it’s “infuriating.”
