PROJECTED GROWTH OF AFRICAN CITIES
RANKING OF THE WORLD’S 100 MOST POPULOUS CITIES
In 2010, only 10 African cities ranked among the world’s 100 most populous. But as African cities outpace other cities in growth, more will enter the top 100 this century. By 2100, 38 of the world’s 100 most populous cities will be in Africa, and more than 1 billion people will live in those 38 cities.
