Suspect arrested in Pr. George’s shooting
Police have charged a man in connection with a fatal shooting last week in Prince George’s County, police said.
Officers responded about 10 a.m. July 20 for a reported shooting in the 3300 block of Walters Lane in the District Heights area, police said. A man was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police identified him as Tremayne Crawford, 34, of Suitland.
Daquon Parris, of Bladensburg, was charged Monday with firstand second-degree murder and related charges in the shooting, police said. The 20-year-old was taken into custody in Colonial Heights, Va., and awaits extradition to Maryland, police said.
Parris and Crawford knew each other and, according to an initial investigation, Parris shot Crawford during a dispute, police said.
It was not immediately clear whether Parris has an attorney.
